Curse You Thesis.

So I may have discovered a reason to blog again. Maybe. After a whole semester and a bit of trying to write my stupid creative writing thesis I have almost 7,000 words. This seems pretty impressive--except for the fact that according to my outline I am only a third of the way done. So yeah...7,000 done-- 14,000 to go. WONDERFUL. IT'S NOT LIKE I HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO WORRY ABOUT. 20,000 words is about double the length of an undergraduate academic thesis-- will my advisers hate me for making them read something so long? Oh, probably. Professors are incredibly busy....researching...things....

If this weren't bad enough, 20,000 words isn't even close to long enough to get published as a novella length stand alone dealy. Well, not unless you are George Orwell (animal farm is freakin short- but the brilliant allegory! ALLEGORY!!).

IN SHORT: my thesis (or manuscript, i guess) is too long for my professors and too short to be published.

ALSO: It's not finished. So, right now it's just nothing.
